Abstract: The article discusses a study on dietary adherence and associated glycemic control in young children with type 1 diabetes and their families in Cincinnati, Ohio. The results indicate that the children consumed 80 percent of their minimum recommended levels of carbohydrate and 78 percent of their recommended daily energy intake.
