Abstract

Abstract: In the present communication we have re-parametrized the thermodynamic and thermoelastic properties of NaCl at low compressions and high temperatures. It is found that the thermal expansivity and isothermal bulk modulus both change linearly with the increase in temperature at compressions down to 0.90. The present study reveals that the thermal pressure is nearly independent of compression along an isotherm. This is consistent with the earlier findings. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
