The Eucharist in the West.

The article focuses on the development of the doctrine of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharistic elements and the correlative development of devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. The author has offered an overview of the transubstantiation in the West. In addition, it is noted that the development of the devotion to the Blessed Sacrament is common to both East and West during the first millennium.
