Abstract

The article presents the author's views on the works of poet Kenneth Rexroth. Some of Rexroth's books including "Leaves of Grass," "Creeley's For Love," and in "Defense of the Earth" are termed as old jewel boxes. Rexroth asks his readers to remember the names of their old friends and what happened to them. He was a rebellion since he was young, which is evident from his poems. Rexroth began writing reviews, and brought more and more books into his apartment in San Francisco, California.
