Abstract

The article describes the unveiling of clothing retailer J.C. Penney's brand positioning and tagline. Singer/songwriter Jewel helped promote J.C. Penney's inspirational messages. Brand positioning includes enhanced customer service across all shopping channels, advertising, and marketing campaigns. Myron E. Ullman, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) comments that the lifestyles J.C. Penney depicts are to be envied, but within reach of customers both new and old.
