Early mitoxantrone-induced cardiotoxicity in secondary progressive multiple sclerosis.

The article presents a case study of early mitoxantrone-induced cardioxicity in secondary progressive multiple sclerosis in four patients. Using a retrospective analysis in the patients, asymptomatic decrease of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was revealed. Researchers said that the increasing evidence for early cardiotoxicity calls for regular and frequent cardiac monitoring from the beginning of mitoxantrone treatment.
