Abstract
- This article explores the 1966-1975 anti-war movement against the Vietnam War in America's southern states, particularly in Louisville, Kentucky. Topics of discussion include southern hostility towards pacifists, notorious anti-war figure and boxer Muhammad Ali, civil-rights advocate and fellow anti-war figure George Edwards—who advised conscientious objectors—and the marriage of anti-war sentiment and civil rights issues.
