Abstract
- The article focuses on the case of a patient with urticaria and oedema affecting his limb. The result of a skin biopsy showed that there is a perivasular infiltrate in the upper and mid dermis of his thigh which is consisted of mononuclear cells and eosinophilis. It cites the medications given to the patient. It discusses how onchocerca volvulus, a filarial nematode which is spread to man by the Simulium fly, is acquired.
