Abstract

The article forecasts the presidential elections for the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria. The submission of nomination papers for PDP presidential candidates has been marked with intrigue, speculation, betrayal and disappointment. There were several politicians who exerted efforts and hoped to win. However, the ruling party insiders were in favor of Katsina State Governor Umaru Musa Yar'Adua and believed that Yar'Adua could win the presidential election.
