Abstract
- The article deals with some indications significant for further study of the semiotic range of formgiving in the Croatian culture of the 1950s. Formgiving defined in such a way by Bernardo Bernardi and Zvonimir Radic as a wider and generally understood practice of the creation of plastic environment and as industrial formgiving, has a certain significance in the real circumstances of the socialist concept of production, consumption, and education of the individual. Therefore, formgiving has a distinct social mission within its semiotic range.
