Researchers Develop "Ballistic Computing" Transistor.

The article reports on the development of a ballistic computing transistor by a team of U.S. university researchers. University of Rochester professor Marc Feldman leads a team of experts in computer engineering, circuit design, computer architecture, and theoretical physics in working on the ballistic deflection transistor (BDT), a technology for creating ultra-fast, energy-efficient chips developed by Quentin Diduck. Some of the problems regarding transistor approaches dealt with by BDT technology are discussed.
