Abstract: Assesses the efficacy of warfarin in resolving left atrial appendage (LAA) thrombi and evaluates clinical outcomes of percutaneous mitral valvuloplasty (PMV) after resolution of LAA thrombi compared with mitral valve replacement. Duration of anticoagulation required to resolve LAA thrombi; Rationale for surgeon's preference over mitral valve replacement.
