Investigating the administrative professional's information management role in a networked enterprise.

The article reports on a research study that discusses the expanding roles and skills required of administrative professional (AP). It tried to expose the fundamental lack of clarity about how new specialized skills with regard to the information processing, retrieval, dissemination and repackaging tasks of the AP add value to the organization and enhance its strategic positioning and competitive advantage in industry. This study informed about the changing role of the AP and also vital factors that have significant contribution in the success of the AP's supportive role to strategic management.
