Abstract
- The article reports that Northern Orion Resources has received a positive, updated feasibility study from Amec and Hatch Ltd. regarding the development of a $2.05-billion open-pit mining operation at the Agua Rica copper-gold-molybdenum project in Northwest Argentina. The project, which is 100% owned by Northern Orion Resources, is located 25 km east of the Bajo de la Alumbrera mine. The life of the mine is estimated to be at 23 years. In the mine's first 10 years, it will produce about 365 million pounds of copper per year and 16 million pounds of molybdenum concentrates per year.
