Ethical Guidelines to Publication of Chemical Research.

The article presents the American Chemical Society's ethical guidelines for editors, authors, manuscript reviewers and other persons engaged in the publication of chemical research and scientific journals. It is the obligation of the editor to give unbiased consideration to all manuscripts offered for publication while it is the primary obligation of the author to present an accurate account of the research performed. It is the responsibility of the manuscript reviewer to judge the quality of the manuscript in an objective manner while it is the obligation of the scientist publishing outside the scientific literature to be accurate and unbiased in reporting observations.
