Abstract

The article reports on the difficulty experienced by teenagers when finding summer jobs. There were only 37.1 percent of teenagers who were able to get summer jobs in 2006, which was not the usual trend in the youth labor if the United States during summer. As a result, the national, state and local governments provided funds for hiring teens in government agencies and non-profit organizations.
