The article reports on the use of gravity by researchers to show the arrangement of dark matter. The technique is called gravitational lensing. Dark matter neither reflects nor emits light and it cannot actually be seen. Because of the bending of light, the shapes of the galaxies are slightly distorted on telescopes.
