Abstract
- The article reports that J. Fraser Stoddart, a chemistry professor at the University of California in Los Angeles, will be knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in the later part of 2007. Stoddart's knighthood recognizes his pioneering work on the use of molecular recognition and self-assembly to synthesize interlocked compounds known as catenanes and rotaxanes.
