Abstract: A reference entry for pancreatic cancer and its clinical aspect is presented. It refers to an adenocarcinoma of the pancreas. Information is presented on the anatomy of the pancreas and the risk factors for pancreatic cancer. There are several types of cancer involving the pancreas: ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreas, mucinous cystadenocarcinoma and Islet cell tumors. The diagnosis of the disease is discussed, along with the prognosis.
