Abstract
- The aim of this paper is to set a profile of the psychology school applicants by taking into account their use of cognitive learning strategies. The A.C.R.A. (Sánchez y Gallego, 1984) set of learning strategies was applied on a sample of 125 Polimodal (Secondary School) graduates. The results show that the individuals studied do not reflect on their own learning and do not frequently use strategies that would optimize their learning process. The impact of this research is oriented towards the diagnosis of the university applicants profile, to decide upon institutional devices that stimulate the use of productive strategies.
