A theoretical proposal for the analysis of symbolic frontiers in situation of intercultural communication; this concept is not as a territorial limit between states, but a theoretical-methodological tool to be able to understand how the sense of own is constructed by constituting «ours» and «theirs». This article links the following concepts together: border, cultural front, hegemony, habitus and intercultural communication to be able to propose the internal border concept as an element to consider when speaking about resistance.
