Food allergy in pediatric liver transplant recipients: Harmful or harmless?

The author reflects on the occurrence of multiple food allergies in children with the use of tacrolimus after heart and liver transplantation. It is stated that the causes of food allergies after liver transplantation is unclear. The author suggests that there is a need to study the possible role of immunosuppressive drug therapy related allergy in children who underwent liver transplantation.
