Abstract

Presents research on cell growth regulation and differentiation. Members of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) super family, which are vital for regulating growth and differentiation; Cloning of a transmembrane protein, BAMBI, which is related to TGF-beta family type 1 receptors, but lacks an intracellular kinase domain; Coexpression of BAMBI with the ventralizing morphogen BMP4 during Xenopus embryogenesis.
