Cations of the title compound, [Ir(C10H15)(C5H10NS2)(CO)](CF3O3S), contain half-sandwich (η5-C5Me5)IrIII fragments. The remaining positions in the octa­hedral IrIII coordination environment are occupied by the S atoms of the bidentate diethyl­dithio­carbamate ligand and the C atom of the carbonyl ligand.
