Abstract
- This article features Brooklyn, New York-based artist David Opdyke and his work. Opdyke, who was born in 1969 in Schenectady, New York, first studied industrial design at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio but he decided to give it up for painting. Eventually he also gave up painting because, according to him, painting was too open-ended. Some of his works include "The One," a blowup of U.S. President George Washington's iconic face and "Greenback," the massively rendered corner of a dollar bill.
