Abstract
- This article offers information on the creation of the Chair of Mental Philosophy and Logic at the University of Cambridge in England. As a result of Henry Sidgwick efforts, the new chair to be called Professor of Mental Philosophy and Logic was formed. He also provided financial support for the new chair. However, the duality of the chair's mandate evolved as an issue. Financial reasons led to the creation of a unified chair for mental philosophy and logic.
