Abstract
- The article discusses the murder trial of Ronell Wilson, who is charged with killing two New York City police detectives. Prosecutors are introducing scraps of paper found in Wilson's pocket after the murders that contained the lyrics to a rap song that police say describe the murders. Violent rap lyrics have been used as evidence in criminal trials more frequently, but defense lawyers argue that they are merely fantasy. A rap song by Tupac Shakur was used in a murder trial to help convict Ronald Ray Howard.
