Abstract

The article cites that dental restoration with amalgam in chidren with caries did not lead to adverse neuropsychological outcomes when compared with resin composite material. The conducted study also supports the relative safety of the use of mercuric dental amalgam in children with caries. The use of mercuric amalgam was associated with higher mercury urinary concentrations.
