Abstract

The article studies the HIV prevalence and predictors among rescued prostitutes in Mumbai, India. The rapid spread of India's HIV epidemic through commercial sex and the large number of minor prostitutes who are infected with HIV virus and being trafficked to India for sex actuations. It is recommended that there should be an immediate attention to the increasing HIV infections among minor victims of the prostitution as a form of HIV prevention.
