Abstract

The article discusses the stakeholder approach, a new approach to the wildlife management in the United States in view of bias in the funding structure. This new approach facilitates the expert managers to accommodate voice of people in the wildlife management funding in the light of growing interest among a diverse group of stakeholders. Discussing the traditional funding sources, the article also focuses on reliable alternative funding sources for state wildlife agencies. The article critically analyzes the outcomes of various wildlife programs and the related state Acts.
