Abstract: The article states that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's Forest Rangers and Environmental Conservation Officers (ECOs) are at the forefront of implementing the department's mission to protect wildlife and conserve natural resources. Forest Rangers and ECOs provide the first line of defense in safeguarding our environment and assisting people in the outdoors.
