Abstract
- The article offers information on the risks of mother-to-child HIV transmission through breast feeding in the developing countries. Various infant-feeding strategies are discussed including administration of highly active anti-retroviral therapy in case of HIV infected women, both during pregnancy and after childbirth. It is suggested that developing countries should follow health care recommendations of the World Health Organization to reduce the rates of potential mother-to-child transmission.
