Abstract
- The author analyzes and contradicts the arguments put forth by Brink Lindsey in the article "Liberaltarians," which appeared in the December 11, 2006 issue of "The New Republic." Lindsey argued that Libertarians constitute a decisive bloc of swing votes, and their disenchantment with Republicans explains the Democrats electoral victories in 2006. The author, conversely, says the Libertarian agenda is wildly unpopular and supporting it would cost Democrats more votes than they would gain.
