Abstract
- The article focuses on basketball player Allen Iverson and his ten year tenure with the Philadelphia 76ers in light of Iverson's request for a trade in the 2006 season of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The author examines the strong and endearing relationship Iverson had with fans in Philadelphia, peaking during the team's 2001 run to the NBA Finals, but suggests trading Iverson is the right move considering the team's woeful performance and need to develop young players.
