Abstract
- The article discusses the author's experience of having an interview with Jennifer Miller, director of the queer performance group Circus Amok at the Coney Island in New York City. The author said that Miller was interviewed about her time performing as the bearded lady named Zenobia. She also said that the significance of the bearded lady figure functions more broadly as the dominant cultural fiction through which the body of women with beards are understood.
