Abstract

The article offers information on evaluating the cost-efficiency of using mechanical controls and variable frequency drives (VFD) for regulating fan airflow. The process of figuring annual operating costs associated with the use of VFD and inlet and outlet dampers is discussed. An assessment of VFD cost-efficiency is presented.
