Creating a Safer Workforce.

The article reports on the need for occupational training for Hispanic and foreign-born workers in the U.S. The need for training has been driven by lower education levels, illiteracy and limited English proficiency that resulted to increased risk of work hazards among Hispanics and native-born workers. The author has suggested that providing occupational safety training such as use of safety device on vehicles and equipment and health education will addressed the problem. The findings of various research and studies shows that proper occupational safety education will improved working conditions and health benefits.
