Abstract
- In this article, the author explores the state of single crystals. The author makes a distinction between ideal single crystals and loose crystals. The latter are often found in single-crystal collections because the former tend to be scarce. In between are crystals that have barely discernible attachments. The author also asks why it is so difficult for many dealers to understand what constitutes a true single crystal.
