Abstract
- The article discusses the scientific and technological revolution taking place in the pharmaceutical supply chain in the U.S. The revolution will enable drug makers to produce profitable new medicines for conditions that cannot be treated very well and for those that have resisted all treatments. Pharmaceutical companies are likely to shift away from popularized pharmaceutical patterns to targeted treatments aimed at helping specific subpopulations of patients.
