Information about several papers discussed at the Methodology of Research in Educational Effectiveness Symposium that was held in Barcelona, Spain in 2005 is presented. The paper of Bert Creemers provided an overview of the educational effectiveness theory and research and the international studies in educational effectiveness. On the other hand, Leonidas Kyriakedes paper focused on the importance of developing and testing integrated multilevel school effectiveness models.
