Abstract
- The article explores the prisoner of war labor system in the German Army during the last year of World War I with focus the treatment of British and French prisoner workers and violence in German prisoner of war labor companies. Violence was used as a disciplinary tool in the prisoner of war labor company system. The structure of the German Army resulted to increased violence against prisoners.
