Abstract: The article presents news about the Society of Biological Inorganic Chemistry (SBIC). Officers and members of the SBIC Council are presented, including Robert A. Scott as president, Lucia Banci as secretary, and Kenneth D. Karlin as treasurer. In a note from the SBIC Council President, Scott congratulates the incoming officers of the Council and welcomes new members. He also introduces the SBIC Young Scientist Award and invites members to nominate deserving early career scientists in the field.
