Current Fertility and Public Health Policy.

The article discusses the birth rate, fertility and public health policy in the U.S. One research shows that there has been a decline in birth rates from 1970 to 1975 while fertility rate was found to be one-quarter flat in the intercensal decade between 1960 and 1970. Public health policy and programs are implemented to overcome some barriers. It has been indicated that the workplace served as an effective venue for family planning education and services mostly for women with lowered fertility demand.
