Art Program at Caftè Florian.

The article highlights the "Temporanea" initiative begun in 1988 at Caffè Florian in Venice, Italy. A brief history of the Florian, which was established in 1720, is presented, and it is explained that artists are invited through the "Temporanea" program to display their new works at the Florian, which then acquires them and shows them during the visual arts Biennale. A new, less formal, exhibition program which displays work during non-Biennale months, introduced in 2005, is described.
