Abstract
- The article focuses on the views of Claus Rolfs, a physicist from Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany, on methods to increase the radioactive decay of metals. Rolfs says that by insulating certain radioactive isotopes in metal and then cooling them to absolute zero, their half-lives can be decreased drastically. INSET: Waste disposal.
