- Abstract: Dimesityldiclorosilane undergoes reductive coupling with potassium–graphite to afford a mixture of cyclic polysilanes in a high yield and purity; this mixture is quantitatively converted to the title compound by photochemical irradiation. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
