Abstract
- The article focuses on the issues concerning the part-time academic appointments in China. There were Chinese advocates who considered this type of position as a vital means of halting the country's loss of scientific knowledge. However, universities and colleges supported this kind of contract since they would gain benefits from it. They further expanded their programs and offered good packages that attracted the part-timers. These were those top-notch researchers who signed up to help their nation at the same time who kept their permanent jobs in foreign countries.
