Abstract

The article comments on the importance of having a structured supervision and patient assessments in urology outpatient clinics in Great Britain. Training in outpatient clinics needs restructuring. One way to monitor and appraise training is to keep an outpatient clinic logbook. With an increasing role of office-based work in surgical specialties such as urology, it will become more important to ensure that training and monitoring of training in the outpatient clinic is closely scrutinized.
