Abstract: The article applauds American Chemical Society (ACS) student affiliate chapter, chemistry club for chemistry students, in the U.S. Many science students are discovering that joining an ACS student affiliate chapter can pay off benefits beyond classroom. These groups offer camaraderie, professional development, and an opportunity to develop leadership skills. In fact, for the 2005-06 academic year, 34 ACS chapters were recognized outstanding, 58 were commendable, and 75 were honorable mention.
