Abstract

The article focuses on the victory of the baseball team Brooklyn Dodgers over the Boston Braves team at Ebbets Field, New York City on August 15, 1926. Babe Herman, an outfielder, hit a ball off the right-field wall. Pitcher Dazzy Vance retreated to the third base because he thought that Herman's drive might have been caught. Three members of the Dodgers team reached the third base.
